Syrex — an open-access software tool — was created in 2004 to monitor and track information about clients, services, and commodities provided within HIV prevention programs. It's currently used in almost 20 countries of EECA, Middle East, South Asia, and Africa.

Vareger joined the project in 2014 to transform it into a fast response, cost-effective, secure application, and with respect to personal data.
